The Dark Secrets of Successful PPC Agencies

Many businesses rely on pay-per-click (PPC) agencies to help them navigate the complex world of online advertising. However, not all PPC agencies are created equal. While some provide an invaluable service that helps businesses grow, others engage in shady practices that can actually do more harm than good. In this blog post, we’ll expose some of the dark secrets of successful PPC agencies so that you can be better informed when choosing a partner for your next online advertising campaign.

1. they use click farms

One of the most common dirty tricks used by successful PPC agencies is click farming. Click farming is the practice of paying people to click on ads, even if they have no interest in the product or service being advertised. This artificially inflates click-through rates (CTRs), which makes the agency look good to their clients and helps them justify their high fees. Unfortunately, clicks from click farms don’t convert into sales, so businesses end up wasting their money on ads that no one is interested in.

2. they steal other people’s ideas

Another dirty secret of successful PPC agencies is that they often steal other people’s ideas. If an agency sees that another agency is having success with a certain type of ad or campaign, they’ll often copy it and try to sell it to their own clients as original work. This not only hurts the business who came up with the idea in the first place, but it also wastes the client’s money on an unproven campaign that may not work as well as the original.

3. they inflate their results

In order to make themselves look good and justify their high fees, successful PPC agencies will often inflate their results. For example, they may claim that a certain ad campaign generated X number of leads when, in reality, only a fraction of those leads were actually interested in what was being advertised. Or they may claim that a certain keyword is converting at a higher rate than it actually is. This false information can lead businesses to make poor decisions about their marketing budgets and spend their money on campaigns that aren’t effective.

As you can see, there are some dark secrets hiding behind the scenes at successful PPC agencies. Now that you know what to look for, you can be sure to choose an agency that will be truthful and transparent with you about your campaigns. And if you’re ever tempted to try one of these dirty tricks yourself, just remember: what goes around comes around . . .
